Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps Man with Van Keston has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery.

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It can take various forms, including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded labour, and human trafficking. Man with Van Keston recognises that, although we are a small business operating primarily in transport and removal services, we have a responsibility to be vigilant and to work actively to prevent exploitation in our own activities and those of our suppliers.

Our Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Keston operates a strict zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Any form of exploitation, coercion, or abuse of power for personal or commercial gain is wholly unacceptable.

We expect all individuals working for or on behalf of Man with Van Keston, including employees, casual workers, contractors, agency staff, and business partners, to share this commitment. Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract, and may also lead to reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.

Supply Chain Standards and Supplier Audits

Our supply chain primarily includes providers of vehicles, fuel, equipment, storage, and ancillary services that support our transport and removal operations. We are committed to ensuring that these suppliers uphold high standards of ethical conduct and labour practices.

We seek to work only with suppliers and subcontractors who can demonstrate that they operate in accordance with applicable labour, employment, and human rights legislation. As part of our ongoing due diligence, we are implementing the following measures:

We communicate our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and human trafficking to existing and prospective suppliers as part of our onboarding and renewal processes. We expect them to maintain appropriate policies and controls within their own operations and supply chains.

We reserve the right to conduct checks and proportionate audits of suppliers where risks are identified. These may include reviewing policies, requesting information related to labour practices, and asking suppliers to confirm that they do not engage in or tolerate modern slavery.

Where we identify concerns, we will engage with the supplier to understand the issues, require corrective action, and, if necessary, suspend or terminate the relationship if adequate remedial measures are not taken.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels

Man with Van Keston encourages a culture of openness and accountability. We want all workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to feel confident in raising concerns about modern slavery or unethical conduct without fear of victimisation or retaliation.

Any person who becomes aware of, or suspects, modern slavery or human trafficking in connection with our business or supply chain is encouraged to report it as soon as possible. Concerns can be raised directly with management or through any existing internal reporting processes communicated to workers and contractors.

All reports will be treated seriously and, where requested, confidentially. We will investigate concerns promptly and fairly, taking appropriate action, which may include working with authorities and specialist organisations where relevant. No one who raises a concern in good faith will suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up.

Training, Awareness, and Continuous Improvement

We are committed to building awareness of modern slavery risks across our business. This includes informing relevant staff about the signs of exploitation, their responsibilities under this statement, and how to raise concerns. We will continue to strengthen our approach in line with evolving best practice and legal requirements.

As our business and supply chains develop, we will periodically reassess areas of potential risk and consider additional measures to improve transparency and due diligence, including more structured supplier assessments where appropriate.

Annual Review and Governance

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed annually by the management of Man with Van Keston to ensure it remains current, effective, and aligned with our operational realities and legal obligations.

The review will consider any incidents reported, the effectiveness of our reporting channels, the outcomes of any supplier checks, and developments in legislation or industry guidance. Where improvements are identified, we will update our policies, procedures, and training accordingly.

This statement reflects our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our work. It is approved by the management of Man with Van Keston, who take overall responsibility for ensuring that this policy is implemented, communicated, and upheld throughout the organisation and our supply chains.
